Question 1

What do I actually get for my monthly membership?

Accepted Answer

Proposed benefits include animal updates and visits. Ownership rights and prize-money terms are under review.

Question 2

What is the difference between Gold and Premier?

Accepted Answer

The proposed Gold plan is £10 a month for 2 racehorses and 4 greyhounds. Premier is £30 a month for 5 racehorses and 10 greyhounds. Membership terms are still being finalised.

Question 3

How is prize money shared?

Accepted Answer

Net prize money may be shared among eligible members of the relevant syndicate after applicable racing deductions. Prize money is not guaranteed. Detailed distribution terms are being finalised.

Question 4

Are there any extra costs?

Accepted Answer

No. Training fees, vet bills and entry fees are all covered. Your monthly membership is the only cost. Travel to the track, stables or kennels is your own.

Question 5

Can I cancel at any time?

Accepted Answer

Existing members should email racingsyndicate@eventswecanhelp.co.uk to request cancellation and written confirmation of when payments stop.

Question 6

Can I go and see the animals?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely, that's the best bit. We run weekend trips to the kennels and stables and members' badges are available so you can be at the track when your animals run.

Question 7

Where can I follow the animals?

Accepted Answer

Existing members can sign in to see updates about the racehorses and greyhounds in the members area.

Question 8

What happens if an animal is retired or never races?

Accepted Answer

Some animals get injured, do not make the grade or simply retire, that is the reality of racing. If that happens the animal is retired and rehomed responsibly through our racing team, and we replace it in the syndicate so your membership continues to cover the same number of racehorses and greyhounds. Your monthly price does not change and you are told in the members area whenever an animal leaves or joins the syndicate.

Question 9

Exactly how is prize money split?

Accepted Answer

Applicable racing deductions would be taken before any net prize money is shared with eligible members of the relevant syndicate. The exact deductions, eligibility, calculation and payment schedule are being finalised. Prize money is not guaranteed.

Question 10

What does the cancellation process look like?

Accepted Answer

Existing members can email racingsyndicate@eventswecanhelp.co.uk to request cancellation. We will confirm the effective date, any further payment, refunds and any prize-money balance in writing. Final rules are still being prepared on our Cancellation Policy page.

Question 11

How are members verified as real owners?

Accepted Answer

The legal ownership rights and racing registrations associated with membership are under review. A certificate or membership number alone does not prove a registered ownership share. Please ask us for written confirmation before joining when sign-ups reopen.

Question 12

What happens if one of the animals is injured?

Accepted Answer

Injuries happen in racing. If one of our racehorses or greyhounds is hurt, it comes out of training immediately and is treated by the vet at our cost, never yours. It is rested for as long as it needs and only returns when the vet and the yard are happy. If it cannot come back, it is retired and rehomed responsibly and we replace it so your syndicate keeps the same number of animals. Every update is posted in the members area.

Question 13

Am I guaranteed to make money?

Accepted Answer

No. Prize money depends on how the animals run and is not guaranteed. Membership is about the experience of following the animals, visiting the stables and kennels, and being part of the syndicate.

Question 14

Do I need any racing experience to join?

Accepted Answer

None at all. Most of our members have never owned an animal before. We explain everything in plain English in the members area, and on stable and kennel weekends the team walks you round and answers anything you want to ask.

Question 15

When does the syndicate go live and how are the animals bought?

Accepted Answer

The syndicate goes live in October. Our racehorses are being bought at the Tattersalls sales in Newmarket from the 12th to the 16th of October, where we are looking to purchase 7 horses. We have already purchased 10 greyhounds and will be selling 15. Photos and details of everything we buy are posted for members straight after the sale.
